Open AI is not taking Elon’s lawsuit lying down.
Elon Musk's recent lawsuit against OpenAI has sparked a heated debate in the AI community. The suit claims that OpenAI has breached its founding agreement to make significant AI advancements open source and freely available to the public. In response, OpenAI has published a blog post titled "OpenAI and Elon Musk," which shares several archived emails from Musk that suggest he once supported a pivot away from open source practices in the company's quest to develop artificial general intelligence.
The company also defended its decision to not open-source its work, stating that "Elon understood the mission did not imply open-sourcing AGI." The blog post also claims that Musk wanted "absolute control" of the company by merging it with Tesla or having full control.

Power will be a problem soon.
Elon Musk has recently expressed concerns about the rapid growth of AI and its potential impact on the world's electricity supply. In a recent statement, he warned that the simultaneous growth of electric vehicles and AI will create a tremendous demand for electrical equipment and power generation.
According to Musk, the artificial intelligence compute coming online is increasing by a factor of 10 every six months. This exponential growth in AI technology will require vast amounts of electricity to power the necessary infrastructure. However, Musk believes that there won't be enough power to meet this demand by 2025. I have discussed this before. The amount of power that is needed to run these systems is much greater than most people realize and yet we are becoming more and more dependent on AI systems.
This prediction raises concerns about the future of AI and its role in our society. It is essential for governments and organizations to address these issues and find sustainable solutions to ensure that the growth of AI does not outpace our ability to power it. I am not overly optimistic about this as they have yet to come up with a way to handle the power needs of all the electric vehicles that are being mandated, so how will they deal with the power needs of AI?

The H1 Humanoid Robot has recently made headlines for setting a new world record in running. Developed by Unitree Robotics, the H1 has achieved a remarkable running speed of 7.38 mph, surpassing the previous record held by the Boston Dynamics robot. This impressive feat showcases the rapid advancements in the field of robotics and the potential for future applications.
In addition to its record-breaking speed, the H1 is equipped with advanced features such as 3D LiDAR and depth camera sensors, which provide a 360-degree visual information. This enables the robot to navigate and interact with its environment more effectively. The H1 is also capable of performing various tasks, including lifting and transporting objects, jumping, and walking up and down stairs.
While the H1 is currently priced between $90,000 and $150,000, it has garnered significant interest from researchers and companies looking to integrate these advanced technologies into their workplaces. However, the development of humanoid robots has also raised concerns about their potential applications, particularly in the military.
Overall, the H1 Humanoid Robot's new world record for running highlights the rapid progress in the field of robotics and the potential for future advancements in both commercial and military applications.
